It is now we take our first steps, when we embark on our life’s purpose while leaving imprints on those around us. It is within these imprints where we can truly find ourselves and begin to “walk in our purpose”, while allowing life experiences to help us take shape and mold us into the person we were meant to be. Navigating through the path, the peaks and valleys of life can be a mentally challenging, emotionally draining and physically exhausting experience, and even the best of the best falter. Do you know anyone who has lost a job? Do you know anyone who has lost a loved one? Do you know anyone who has lost everything?
“We are all human and experience human emotions, no one is exempt from the human experience” ~ yours truly
Having successes and experiencing failures are life lessons to ensure we remain humble and grounded. This is how we discover appreciation for our blessings and take a wider perspective in finding the silver lining during tough times. If we are open, we can still find a lesson in the challenging times; win or lose, being proud of the effort given is honoring yourself of your worth. Yet again, success and failure are just “words” that we have allowed to take such a strong meaning in our lives and the expectations we have of ourselves that it begins to define the value we place on “our worth”.
“If you know your worth, no one can tell what your worth. To know my worth is to know that I am priceless” ~ yours truly
Self-worth and Self-esteem are not qualities that generate from the outside in, they are characteristics that develop from the inside and shine on the outside. Our emotional seasons, the “how’s, why’s, and the what’s” have become the drivers of our lives instead of us. How many times have you taken your anger out on the wrong person? How many times have you been rude to someone who didn’t deserve it? How many times have you felt bad after realizing you hurt someone’s feelings? These elements are dictating how we act, how we respond, what we can and cannot do. We know begin to ask ourselves "who have I become"?
“Perspective comes only from distance” ~ yours truly
It is when we can recognize that we have relinquished control over our lives, that we can truly begin to take it back. It is nice to have a supportive network of friends, families, work associates, and those who become familiar faces. Yet not everyone is blessed with such positivity and support. Nevertheless, everyone needs someone in their corner. So, what can we do to uplift ourselves? How can we generate our own motivation?
“Now that you’ve said, ‘it’s out of my control’ try and give yourself grace for not being in control” ~yours truly
Here is where the ACE in the Hole begins to take shape.
A is for Acceptance || C is for Commitment || E is for Encouragement
Here is one group of supportive elements that provide a foundation for a healthy relationship, yet alone is not strong enough to withstand the challenges of life. Instead of relying on someone else to be this for you, YOU become this FOR YOU.
“Our past does not dictate our present and it does not predict our future” ~ yours truly
Here we are beginning to build our foundation for forward movement into a much more overall healthy mind, body and soul by working from the inside out. We can generate our own luck, we have the power to create joy and within us all lies an untapped resource that once ignited will be an endless source of support. It is time to unleash the power of you and begin to show yourself that you are capable of more than you give yourself credit for.
